This project involves both hardware setup and software development. It is a work-in-progress. I am working with a professor friend of mine to develop a new, proprietary software for 'social media listening.' We are setting up the proof-of-concept listening center at Webber International University in Florida.

Development in progress.
Early work on the hardware setup for the listening center. We are setting up a video wall with four, 32 inch monitors. The monitor setup can be used as four seperate screens or as one, large screen. We like the blue back lighting :). Future additions: dedicated desktop system with a small(er) monitor for admin control and monitor mirroring to display the data on monitors outside the social media listening center.
This is the current working version of the breakout dashboard. This dashboard can display up to eight different data breakout panels. These panels can also be opened independently and moved to any of the monitors. The system also includes an admin dashboard that allows the user to change settings like search intervals, social media sites to search, token/key entry, and keywords to focus on.
Python and PHP are used to scrape social media sites for given keywords. The search also grabs full social media posts, then finds and counts commonly used words. All of this info is saved to a database. Then I use web technologies (PHP, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS) to grab the data from the database and render it to the screen(s). Next step, use AI/ML for sentiment analysis. We have several other features to add down the road as well.
